Customers can choose cash payment at checkout if the order value does not exceed the cash payment limit.
Will I know if an order is paid in cash?
Yes. When you receive a task offer in the Courier App, you will see if the order will be paid in cash.
This will be shown in a similar way to other order details, such as heavy or high-value orders.
Will I know if I need to give change?
Yes. When the customer chooses cash payment, they need to indicate whether they have the exact amount.
If change is needed, the app will show how much you need to give back.
Does picking up a cash order from the restaurant or shop work differently?
No. Picking up the order works the same way as with prepaid orders.
Cash is handled only when you meet the customer and hand over the order.
When should I give the order to the customer?
You should only hand over the order after you have received the full amount shown in the app.
What should I do if the customer gives the exact amount?
If the customer gives you the exact amount shown in the app, you can complete the task as usual.
What should I do if I need to give change?
If change is needed, make sure you and the customer both check that the correct amount is given back before completing the task.
To help avoid issues, it is recommended to carry enough small bills and coins when delivering cash orders.
How much cash should I carry for change?
We recommend carrying around 20,000 HUF in smaller bills when delivering cash orders.
This helps you give change smoothly when needed.
What happens if the customer gives me a cash tip?
Cash tips are 100% yours. You do not need to pay cash tips to Wolt later.
What should I do if I cannot give change or the customer cannot pay?
Contact Support through the Courier App before completing the task.
